Fair Screen Setup

Create a session, share the Agent link with the candidate, install the Agent, and connect using Session ID + Token ID.

Create a session (Interviewer)

Go to Create Session. Fair Screen generates two links:

Dashboard Link

For interviewers — view live integrity signals (overlay events, suspicious windows, remote/VM indicators, and agent connectivity).

Agent Link

For the candidate — download and run the Agent. The Agent sends privacy-safe signals only (no screen recording, no keylogging).

Download & connect (Candidate)

Download the Agent for your OS:

Install the app

If you downloaded .dmg, open it and drag FairScreenAgent into Applications. If you downloaded .zip, unzip it and move FairScreenAgent into Applications.

Drag FairScreenAgent to Applications from DMG — Drag from DMG → Applications

Unzip FairScreenAgent.app.zip — Unzip .zip → move into Applications

Allow FairScreenAgent to open (required)

Open the app once. If blocked, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Then confirm Open.

Can't be opened warning — “Can’t be opened” warning

Privacy & Security Open Anyway — Privacy & Security → Open Anyway

Confirm Open after Open Anyway — Confirm “Open”

If you don’t see Open Anyway: Applications → right-click FairScreenAgent → Open.

Enable Screen Recording permission

FairScreenAgent needs Screen & System Audio Recording permission to detect hidden overlays. Enable it, then restart the app.

Add FairScreenAgent to list — Add FairScreenAgent to the list

FairScreenAgent appears in list — Enable the FairScreenAgent toggle

Paste Session ID + Token ID and connect

Open FairScreenAgent and paste the Session ID + Token ID from above, then connect. The interviewer should see your status instantly on the Dashboard.

Status is live on Dashboard — Agent is successfully connected and status is Live
